Charles R. Mackintosh Willow 1

Charles Rennie Mackintosh created the Willow Chair for the Willow Tea Room in Glasgow, Scotland. The Willow Chair's beautiful design in the curved backrest appears to be a stylised representation of the willow tree , as a homage to the name of the tearoom. The Willow Chair is heavily influenced by Japanese design philosophy and in addition to being an excellent seat is also an efficient showpiece for any room. It is an impressive piece that will make any interior shine with sense of style.

ItaliaDesigns produces this distinctive design by hand. The frame is available in black lacquered ash wood and the cushion comes in a choice of various classic leather colors.

With furnishing the Hill House Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) oriented himself at the Bauhaus style: Purism, omitting naturalistic elements, almost mathematical functionality - a tribute to this popular style.
